Cruzing Chicagoland

I have had the pleasure of working with the great people (and cars!) of General Motors in conjunction with the release of my new Chicago travel guide for families with older kids (Disclosure: GM is the major sponsor of my Chicago book launch event!). I drove a 2011 Chevy Cruze (a fantastic car, for real! LOVED IT!) around the Chicago area for a week, doing some really fun video shoots at some great places, to share with my readers. This is a round-up page for all of those videos. The link to the accompanying post will appear below each video, if you’d like to read more information.

Ahhhh… where’s the outtake video? That’s the one I’m most excited about ;)

Having actually SEEN the book, let me encourage you to go buy it. Thumbing through it, I ran out of fingers for places I want to take the wee ones that I’d never heard of. Awesome, awesome job, Melisa! And the videos are great. Loved the camera work driving into the Bristol Renaissance Faire. It was cinematographically inspired. How did you manage to find such talent?

The outtake video is coming: sheesh! I needed a break from editing! :)

To answer your second question: I had a GREAT assistant! :)

OK. In full disclosure, I’m your publisher and maybe a tad bias. With that being said, GREAT JOB! I love touring Chicago with you!! And, I know everyone else will, too.

As a friend of someone staying at the Milwaukee McDonald’s House, the last video especially interested me. What a wonderful place and a wonderful place :)
